George William Sexton

April 3, 1918 - February 20, 2008

Memorial service for George William Sexton, 89, DeLand, who died February 20, 2008 at Florida Hospital DeLand, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, at Lankford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Owen Stricklin officiating. Private burial service will be prior to the memorial service at DeLand Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Sexton was born in Coatsville, PA and moved to this area in 1953 from Maryland. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a social service supervisor. He loved to sing and dance and loved music. He attended the First United Methodist Church in DeLand.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sexton in 2003. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara A. Smith, Silver City, NM and grand-daughter, Charity Smith, DeLand.  We invite you to sign the Guest Book maintained by the Daytona Beach News Journal.
