Manda I. Downing

October 14, 1915 - February 27, 2008

Funeral service for Manda I. Downing, 92, DeLand, who died February 27, 2008 at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand, with Pastor William Yesse officiating. Burial will be at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Lankford Funeral Home.

Mrs. Downing was born in Detroit Lakes, Minn., and moved to this area in 1988 from Eustis, FL. She was a homemaker and a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church, Orange City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Downing.

Survivors include her son, Eugene Downing, DeLand; daughters, Marge and Earl Gentry, and Arlene and Lance Borows, all of DeLand; sister, Anna Kersting, Waubun, Minn.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Adler, Minnesota; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
