Marie Zwicker Parr

March 7, 2008

Marie ParrMarie Parr, the daughter of Dr. Edward and Diane Zwicker, departed from this life Friday, March 7, 2008. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She left two daughters, Patricia Hutchinson (25) and Melissa Nichols (15); three sisters, Jeannie Zayas, Kathleen Paulk and Lorie Mims; eight nieces and four nephews.

After high school she attended the Fort Lauderdale Institute of Art for two years. In the past she owned a sign business entitled Pan-O-Rama Signs in the DeLand area. Marie had also worked in her father's dental practice with him and Dr. Prakash. Marie's loving heart led her to her most recent career with Inclusion Care faithfully providing care to those with developmental disabilities. She was like a "Mom" to many and enriched their souls. She was upbeat, full of zeal and always gave her love, time and attention to those she served and to her co-workers. And as a last act of her love she donated her organs to give life to others.

Marie had always made it known that she wanted a "CELEBRATION OF LIFE" which fits her deep spiritual conviction and intense Love of Jesus Christ. Such a celebration will take place Friday, March 14, at 6 p.m. in the Alpha Omega Room located to the rear of St. Peter's Catholic Church, DeLand, Deacon Ed Rinderle officiating. An additional celebration of her life will be at First Baptist Church, Daytona Beach, where she was a member known as a vibrant, joy-filled Sister in Christ. This Christ-centered celebration will be officiated by Pastor Lowell Lucas at 118 N. Palmetto Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114 at 11 a.m. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, Marie would like everyone to Praise Jesus and make love offerings for her children's future and/or donations made to Easter Seals. We invite you to sign the Guest Book maintained by the Daytona Beach News Journal.
