Beth Russell

September 18, 1923 - June 10, 2008

Beth Russell, 84, Orange City, passed away peacefully June 10, 2008. Services will be held at Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand. The viewing will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, with services following at 11 a.m.

Beth was born September 18, 1923, in Rockville, CT. She was the loving wife and lifelong companion of Philip Russell for 45 years, and wonderful loving mother of two daughters, Chris Davidson of Jacksonville, and Mary Henrickson of Orange City. She was predeceased by her brothers, Eddie Kibbe, Herald Kibbe and Van Vanesse.

Beth and Phil met and married in Fort Lauderdale where they ran a trucking business together. They moved to Central Florida in 1971 where she and Phil ran an aquarium shop, and a thriving antique shop and furniture stripping business. She loved the challenge of buying and renovating homes, living in Sanford, DeBary, DeLand, and finally settling in Orange City. Beth loved the challenge of starting a new business.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Betty Vanesse, Anderson, SC.
