Karen Laverne Griffis

Funeral service for Karen Laverne Griffis, 40, Orange City, who died July 18, 2008, at her home, will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand, with Pastor Jeffrey Slade Rickels officiating. Burial will be in Clifton Cemetery in Barberville, FL. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. July 24 at Lankford Funeral Home.

Miss Griffs was a homemaker and she loved her family. Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Marie (Doodlebug) Griffis, Orange City; her mother, Claudia Griffis, Orange City; two brothers, James (Bubba) Franklin Griffis and Norman A. Griffis, both of DeLand; two sisters, Loretta (Ralph) Griffis Ahrens, Orange City, and Martha (Sissy) Griffis, DeLand and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
