Funeral Service for Dorothy J. Jones, 87, DeLand, who died August 6, 2008 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Orange City, FL, will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand, FL, with Minister Bill Fugerer, officiating. Burial will be at Church of Christ Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA.

Mrs. Jones was born in Akron, Ohio and moved to this area in 1992 from Wilkesboro, North Carolina. She was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Church of Christ in DeLand.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, Joseph (Immogene) J. Jones, Sr. of Jacksonville, NC; nephew, Joseph H. Jones, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; niece, Jennifer J. Robertson of New York City, NH; sister-in-law, Kathryn Hand of New Bern, NC; niece, Mary K. Davison of Baltimore, MD; nephew, Dr. William Hand III of New Bern, NC; niece, Elizabeth Hand of Alexandria, VA.
