Meeda Orr Connor

September 17, 1915 - August 16, 2007

Funeral service for Meeda Orr Connor, 91, W. Minnesota Avenue, who died August 17, 2007, at Florida Hospital DeLand, will be 1 p.m. Monday, August 20, at Lankford Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Grady Snowden officiating. Burial will be at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand.

Meeda was born in Dublin, GA and moved to this area in 1960 from Hollywood, FL. She was a teacher at DeLand Junior High School. She received her Master's Degree in Education from Stetson University. She also taught at Daytona Beach Community College and the Volusia County Correctional Facility. She enjoyed gardening and was a Master Bridge Player.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Connor Livingston, DeLand; sister, Quessie Shultz, Georgia; brother, Wardell Orr, Texas, granddaughter, Vanessa Livingston, California; sister, Betty Orr, Florida.
