Alexandra "Candy" Ehbar

Alexandra “Candy” Ehrbar, 75, passed away on July 11, 2026, at Parkside Health and Rehabilitation in DeLand, Florida.

Born on June 10, 1951, in Roslyn, New York, Candy was the daughter of the late Alexander and Marion Ehrbar. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Richard, Michael, and Stephen, and her sisters Barbara and Sharon.

Candy is survived by her loving siblings: Joan Sullivan of Fair Lawn, New Jersey; Kathleen Roe of Port Jefferson Station, New York; Denise Jorgensen of DeLand, Florida; Mark Ehrbar of Deltona, Florida; and Christopher Ehrbar of Staten Island, New York. She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their loving aunt.

Candy loved the Lord and lived her life guided by faith. She was very artistic and loved to crochet beautiful blankets for family and friends. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge and passion for nutrition, loved to cook, and was well known for her passion and work as a cheesemonger. Candy’s thoughtful handmade gifts and caring nature touched the lives of many.

A private family service will be held in September at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, New York.

Candy’s memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
