Brenda Jordan

Brenda Alice Jordan, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at her home in Lake Helen, Florida. She was 83 years old.

Brenda was born on April 4, 1942. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as an LPN and retired from Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, where she served with compassion, skill, and a gentle spirit that comforted countless patients and families.

A woman of deep faith, Brenda loved studying the Bible and living out its teachings through kindness and service. She found great joy in gardening and crafts, taking pride in creating beauty with her hands and nurturing life around her. Above all else, Brenda cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a loyal friend to all who knew her. Her warmth, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Geneva Boen; her beloved husband, James C. Jordan; her daughter, Kathleen (John) Reynolds; and her grandson, John Reynolds.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Jordan; her grandson, Joshua Reynolds; her sister, Tommie (Mark) Wiseman; her sisters by heart, Mary Carol Martin and Susan Hopton; and her nephews, Mark (Rebecca) Wiseman and Eric (Kristina) Wiseman and their children Angel, Tyler, and Garrett. Brenda's love and guidance will continue to live on through her family.

Those who knew her will remember that she could make you belly laugh, give good advice, and listen to your woes.

A memorial service will be held at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Following the service, the family will host a reception at 4:00 p.m. at their home, located at 450 W. Michigan Ave., Lake Helen, Florida 32744.

Brenda leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and selfless service that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
