Carl Robert “Bob” Morgan, age 72, passed away on October 24, 2026, in DeBary, Florida, surrounded by the love of a family who will miss him beyond words.

Born January 9, 1954, Bob was the son of the late Harold “Pete” Morgan and Loretta Morgan. Throughout his life, family was always at the center of Bob’s world.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, Carol, and together they shared 53 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless memories. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and someone his family and friends knew they could always count on.

Bob was the proud father of Bob (Jennifer) Morgan, Shelly (Alex) Flores, and a grandfather to two grandchildren, Nick and Katie, whom he absolutely adored. His love extended to the four-legged members of the family too, especially his grand-dogs, who loved him right back.

He also shared a special bond with his sister, Debbie Morgan King, his nieces, and his brother-in-law, Jim Cottrell and his late mother-in-law, Judy Cottrell.

Bob spent much of his career in transportation and trucking and worked in human resources, focusing on safety, training, and recruiting. But a job title could never fully describe Bob. He was a helper by nature. If something needed to be fixed, put together, figured out, or taken care of, Bob was usually nearby and willing to lend a hand. Helping people was simply part of who he was.

Music was another important part of Bob’s life. He loved playing the drums in a band and continued playing for fun when his children were young. He enjoyed bowling in his league, cruising the oceans, taking care of his yard, spending time with his dogs and cats, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays. Whether he was working in the yard, fixing something for someone, playing the drums, or spending time with family, Bob found joy in the simple things.

Those who knew Bob will remember his kind heart and big, goofy personality. He loved to laugh, loved his family deeply, and had a way of making himself part of the moments and memories that mattered. He was the kind of person who showed his love not only through words, but by showing up, helping out, fixing what needed fixing, and simply being there.

Bob's faith was also an important part of his life. He attended the DeBary-Orange City Seventh-day Adventist Church and was baptized on February 19, 2022, by Pastor Ron.

There are no words that adequately express how difficult it is to say goodbye to someone who has been such an important part of a family's life.

Bob leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, music, family stories, and love. While the hearts of those who loved him are broken, his family will forever cherish the time they had with him and carry his memory with them. And for a family that loved him so deeply, perhaps goodbye doesn't quite feel like the right word. So instead, we'll simply say, “See you soon.”

Family, friends, and all who knew and loved Bob are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and say their “see you soons" at a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 2:30 PM at the DeBary-Orange City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2535 S. Volusia Avenue Orange City, FL 32763.

Refreshments will be served immediately following the service at the church.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out, prayed for the family, and offered love and support during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness has meant more than words can express.
