Charles "Charlie" C Horan, of DeLeon Springs, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2026 at the age of 72. He was born on May 10, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York to Francis and Dorothy Horan.

Charlie had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, and he treasured the memories made outdoors with family and friends. He was also a talented rodeo horse and bull rider. A gifted storyteller with an infectious laugh, he could hold a room like no one else. 

Baseball held a special place in his heart — he played it, coached it, and umpired it, and he generously shared his talent with anyone eager to learn.

Professionally, Charlie spent much of his adult life in the underground construction industry, and in 2008 he proudly went into business for himself. Above all, he took pride in being a good provider for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his sons, Casey, Chris, and Collin; and his brother, Sean, and many grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida from 11:30a - 1:00p followed directly by a funeral service. At the conclusion of the funeral there will be a procession to DeLand Memorial Gardens to lay Charlie to rest.
