David Paul Masotti, beloved Husband of Joanne “Hayes" Masotti for 51 years, passed away on September 17, 2026 at home surrounded by love.

Born on October 2, 1951 in Southington, CT to the late Vito and Elizabeth (Chambrello) Masotti.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his two daughters, Meghan Hickey (Daniel), and Amanda Mathis (Craig), his grandchildren Brett Hickey (Madison), Brylee Hickey (Chad Stinson), Brayden Hickey, Payton Mathis, and Ryan Mathis all, of Deland, great grandchildren Everleigh, Breelyn, Greyson, and Chasten. Two sisters Patricia Benoit and Esther Masotti of Bristol, CT along with many brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dave graduated from Bristol Central Highschool in 1969 then enlisted into the United States Navy where he served proudly from 1970-1972.

He was self-employed for many years and worked long days and nights in his garage on his racing cars.

Dave was an avid NASCAR and NHRA fan, with a passion for cars, especially his Corvette. He loved playing the guitar and drums and loved music especially the decade of the 70s. In past years he enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, and traveling with his wife with Nashville, TN being his favorite place to visit. A good time was always had.

Funeral services will be held at Lankford Funeral Home in Deland on Friday, September 25, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service that will begin with Military Funeral Honors.
