Dianne Ratterree Dixon

Dianne Ratterree Dixon, "Grand Lady Di," 90, passed away on March 17, 2026. She was born in Poteau, Oklahoma, and came to DeLand in 1953 to attend Stetson University, where she graduated with a degree in English. At Stetson, she met her husband, John Dixon, and they made DeLand their permanent home. She was an active Stetson alum and proud Pi Beta Phi. She belonged to many clubs and organizations throughout her life. Dianne had a brilliant mind, sharp wit, and a creative spirit. She had an unwavering curiosity about the world and the people in it. Honoring Dianne's wishes, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to be kind to someone in Dianne's memory. "Be the change you want to see in the world."
