Donald T Gooden left us on April 18, 2026 after a long and winding life full of love and laughter. Don was born on July 4th 1939, in St Louis Missouri to Alfred and Grace Gooden, joining his brother Gary Gooden. He joined the navy in 1959, and married his wife Betty (Sallade). They had two children, Donald and Joyce. He served in the Navy for 20 years. After he honorably discharged his duty to the Navy, he enjoyed a rich career with the United States Postal Service.

He faithfully served his church family at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church where he acted as Head Usher, Church Council and Financial Secretary. He volunteered to help with the Bridge feeding the underserved as well.

His wife of 48 years, Betty, pre-deceased him in 2010.

He married Donna in November 2010 and they were married for 16 years. They enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with all their family.

He is survived by his son, Donald B Gooden of Palm Coast, FL, daughter, Joyce Parrillo of Deland, FL and his bonus children Chuck Wolf of Peru, IL, Michael Wolf of Peru, IL and Kara Hash of Tallahassee, FL. He has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 11 AM at Lankford Funeral Home.
