Donna Jean Kosakoski

Donna Jean Kosakoski, 78, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, at AdventHealth DeLand in DeLand, Florida.

Born on July 21, 1948, in Trenton, New Jersey, Donna lived a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved most.

Donna had a deep appreciation for the ocean and enjoyed spending time near the water whenever she could. She was passionate about various forms of art, loved singing, and enjoyed fishing. Her greatest joy, however, was being with her family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Smith and Grace Smith, her sister Lois Smith, and her brother, John Smith.

Donna is survived by her loving children, Karen Rushton, Frank Kosakoski, David Thompson, and Debbie Cohen; her sister, Terry Manmiller; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Those who knew Donna will remember her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for others. As her family reflects on her life, they are comforted by the words that so perfectly describe her:

"She loved deeply, gave freely, helped willingly, and left a little more love in the world wherever she went."

A private memorial service for close family members will be held at a later date.

Donna's love, warmth, and gentle presence will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
