Doris Ann Neuzil

Doris Ann (Hartung) Neuzil, 88, of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 25, 2025. Doris was born on July 3, 1937, to Walter and Ethel Hartung in Arkansas, Wisconsin. She was the wife of the late Gene V. Neuzil.

Doris dedicated her life to service, education, and faith. She earned her RN from Saint Mary’s School of Nursing and later completed graduate studies in pastoral ministry at St. Thomas University. She also studied psychology at Saint Leo University, where she went onto to serve as an adjunct professor in the religion department. She served as a leader and trainer for the Joyful Again ministry for the Orlando Catholic Diocese. This was a mission that was near and dear to her.

Doris is survived by her son Paul and his wife Michelle as well as her son Michael and his wife Barbara. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Emily and husband Davin, Laurel and husband Lance, Christopher, Alexander, Michaela, and Andrew and wife Gia, as well as great- grandchildren Paisley, Maverick, Hallerin, Ezra, and Silas.

Doris previously lived in Orange City and DeBary, Florida where she was actively involved in the community and her church parishes.

There will be a funeral mass in Doris's memory at St Ann's of Debary on Tuesday, February 17, at 10am, with a graveside to follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
