Eden Marie Blades

Eden was a bright star to anyone who met her! From her early years of singing ‘happy birthday Jesus’ around the house and running and playing throughout her grandfathers 10 acres a free spirit with the most contagious laugh was just the surface of this delightful young lady! The third born and youngest of three to Rick and Donna Blades. Eden was a native to FL and recentlyrelocated to Mountain View, Missouri. Just about as FLOGROWN as they come, this move would ultimately be her retirement from the 20+ years of long hours and countless service jobs within the FL hospitality industry.

Eden grew up in the world famous Volusia county home of Daytona Beach! Also attending school throughout the area. Known and loved by so many, even many of you here today! Echoing her spirit of serving so many people, she spent over 22 years working in the hospitality and service industries at places like Country Side Cafe (the cow), John Knox Village, Crown Cleaners,Space Coast credit Union, Greenburg Dental, Frontier Communications, and most recently Laspada’s Original Philly Cheesesteak! When not at work.  Eden also spent time serving at First Assembly with The X spot as a youth Leader, helping in nursery, serving and cooking food, helping girls ministries and loving the church for years. She thoroughly enjoyed fellowship with family, friends, and coworkers and this was her hobby for sure! Once you got to know Eden you were family and She would drop anything to help and support anyone in time of need! She also became a squirrel whisperer (really), a Poultry breeder (over 500 birds through the years), a PitBull connoisseur and an all around lover and caretaker of animals of all walks of life. 

Eden’s legacy lives on by many in this room including (but not limited to) Mom and Dad, Matt, Roseanne, Avaiya, Mykaela, Joel, Kindle, Titus, Matthew, Sonya, Chrissy, The Modica family, The Kelly Family, The Walters Family, and hundreds more! She loved so much which is why this hurts so much! Most importantly and above all, she loved Jesus, the man from Galilee who proved Himself to be God Incarnate. He loved Her even more all the way to death. Now she is with Him because ‘to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.’That was one of her favorite recent sayings among many others (some she no longer said in her final years) Some favorites we enjoyed were ‘you matter’ ‘Chow Bella’ ‘how are you doing girly?’ ‘I just can’t with you right now’ ‘for the Love of God’ ’I appreciate you more than you know’ and so many more! 

Her Life and celebration of homecoming will be held at 551 S Kepler Rd in Deland 32724. Hosted by the staff and members of First Assembly Deland.
