Eleanor Tison VanLandingham King, age 91, passed away 08/05/2025 with her family by her side. She was born in Orlando, FL and predeceased by husbands, Harold VanLandingham & Lucius King.
She is survived by her five children, Suzan Harrington (Steve); Brenda Tenhagen (Leon); Wanda Cooper (Victor-predeceased); Gregory VanLandingham; & Tison King. Nine wonderful grandchildren, Ron Tenhagen, Jeff & Greg Harrington, Ryan & Jared Cooper, Jennifer Lowry, Sarah Ames; Justin Doss, Lucius King II and seven amazing great-grandchildren Penny, Amos & Ezra Lowry; Jet & Julian Tenhagen; Madelyn & Olivia Harrington.
She is predeceased by her parents Elmer & Laurell Tison, Sr. and siblings Carolyn Clough & Elmer Tison, Jr.
Eleanor graduated from Mainland High School in 1952 and played drums in the band. She was a striking beauty and participated in several beauty contests in Daytona Beach in her teen years. She had a passion for tap dancing, sewing, gardening, and pink flamingos.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand with a visitation from 10-11AM. Contributions in her memory can be made to Advent Health Hospice Central Florida. https://give.adventhealth.com/give/443568/#!/donation/checkout
