Carolyn "Frosty" Inman

Patricia passed away suddenly on the 8th of October 2026 at AdventHealth of Deland. She was 82 years, 9 months, and 29 days old. She had resided in Deland for the past 4 years.

Born Patricia Carolyn on December 9, 1943, in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky, to Claude and Margaret Whittle. Raised in Smith’s Grove, Kentucky, she moved to Orlando in the late 1950s. She married Rush A. Inman on November 26, 1959, in Brooksville, Florida. They initially lived in Dunedin before eventually settling in Orlando.

Rush and Carolyn raised three children: Paul, Alan, and Kimberly Anne. After her husband of 43 years passed away in 2002, Carolyn remained in the family home until declining health prompted her move to DeLand.

She is survived by her three children, Paul of Orange City, Alan of Lake City, and Kimberly Anne of Polk City; 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Matthew, Maci, Joseph, Michael, Jordan, and Cassandra; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lisa; her brother, William “Bill”; and a host of other loving family members.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rush; parents, Claude and Margaret (Strange) Whittle, and her brothers, Claude and Larry Whittle.

Carolyn was a devoted homemaker who loved to sew, paint, scrapbook, and do genealogy research. She was also an accomplished cook—even if she didn’t start out that way! Though born a Whittle, she was an integral and beloved part of the Inman family for 68 years. Her presence will be deeply missed.

A private graveside service will be held at Lake Lindsey Cemetery in Brooksville, Florida, on October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with no viewing hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lankford Funeral Home of DeLand, Florida.
