Gloria Arnetha Johnson

 "She lit up every room she entered with her smile, her laughter, and her love." 

Gloria Arnetha Johnson, 63, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in the comfort of her daughter's home. She was born on November 15, 1961, in Pierson, Florida, to the late Leola Johnson and Sylvester Johnson. 

Gloria was a woman full of life and love. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, shopping, and most of all, making memories with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She had a heart of gold, a smile that could brighten anyone's day, and a spirit that made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. 

Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard McCray, and Oscar Johnson, sisters, Joyce Johnson, Arnetha Jane McRae and Mary Ann Johnson. She is survived by her three loving children: Carlisle Johnson, Latoya (Hanabal) Smith, and Lakisha (Demond) Gilbert; brothers, Sylvester Johnson of DeLand, FL; sisters, Edna Mae Brown (Johnny) of Eustis, FL, Sandra McCrae of Pensacola, FL, Bernice Zimmeron and Theodoshia Johnson of DeLand, FL. Gloria also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish her memory forever.

 Gloria will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for family, and the light she brought into every space she entered. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. "To know her was to love her - and her light will forever shine in our hearts."

There will be a Celebration of Life Service 1:00PM Saturday, November 8th at Faith Life International Church 1500 E. International Speedway Blvd. Deland, FL 32724.
