Gregory Kenneth Snyder, 64, passed away at home on May 8, 2026, in DeLand, FL with his loving wife, Carolyn, and family by his side. Greg was a wise, gentle man; learning from life by listening instead of speaking, by observing nature and people, and by walking in faith not by sight with his Lord Jesus.

Greg's latest favorite Bible verse is Matthew 3:16, which reads, "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightaway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him." Let this resonate in your heart.

Greg is survived by his wife, Carolyn; stepchildren Jack and Emily Galliher, whom he loved as his own; his parents, Ken and Jan Snyder; sister, Lauri Harfst (Dave); mother-in-law, Mary Weiner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori Ann Snyder, Marie and Rob Jeffreys, Bill Weiner, and Janice Weiner.

He is also survived by the sweetest nieces and nephews: BK Harfst (Brittany), April and Katelyn Medford, Colton Snyder (Erin), Riley Rodriquez (Cameron), Erin and Sarah Jeffreys, and Taylynn, Adalynn and Harlynn Harfst.

Greg was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Snyder; his son, Justin Snyder; and his grandson, Austin Snyder.

A memorial service will be held at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, FL, on May 22, 2026. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Although Greg was a quiet, more reserved man, he loved a nice Hawaiian shirt. Feel free to be colorful and joyful as we celebrate Greg's homegoing.

Memorial donations can be made in Greg's name to MeStrong in DeLand. They are a 501(c)(3) charity with a mission to support friends, families, and community members battling cancer.
