Harold F. Bradeen, 90, of DeLand, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

He was born and raised in Brattleboro, Vermont on August 27, 1935 to Lavada (Way)(Bradeen) Dugay and Clayton Bradeen.

Besides his parent he was preceded in death by his brother, Ethan Bradeen and his daughters Carol Anne Bradeen and Mary Kay (Bradeen) Farrar.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Idalie (Harris) Bradeen; three stepsons Mark (Laura) Harris of Lafayette, Colorado, Raymond Harris of Tucson, Arizona, and Daniel (Rosie) Harris of Lafayette, Colorado; two sisters Patricia Cinningham of Jefferson, Maine and Barbara Taylor of Mocksville, North Carolina; along with six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Harold served in the US Army National Guard for 43 years. He was an active volunteer member of the Brattleboro Fire Department for 47 years and an active member of the Vernon Fire Department for 43 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at Stetson Baptist Church in DeLand, Florida on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Cremation and burial are provided by Lankford Funeral Home. There will be a committal service at Oakdale Cemetery at a later date.
