Harriet Leorra Robertson

December 13, 1941 — May 11, 2025

Harriet Leeora Robertson, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of Jehovah, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at Coastal Health Rehab in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was 83 years old.

Born on December 13, 1941, in Orlando, Florida, Harriet lived a life marked by love, resourcefulness, and unwavering faith. As a dedicated wife and mother, Harriet found deep joy in homemaking, always taking pride in her cooking and baking. She had a talent for making a little go a long way—selling items and saving diligently so she could treat her children to a family vacation every summer. Her creativity and generosity touched all who knew her.

Harriet was a woman of many roles throughout her life—an entrepreneur, postal carrier, and newspaper deliverer—but her most enduring identity was that of a spiritual woman. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she faithfully volunteered hundreds of hours each year in a Bible education work, a ministry that was close to her heart. Her favorite scripture, Luke 23:43, reflected her deep hope and trust in the promises found in the Bible.

Harriet taught herself to sew and lovingly crafted clothing for herself and her children. Her eye for beauty extended into nature photography, amassing a collection of over 12,000 photos of flowers, trees, friends, and family. She nurtured a thriving vegetable garden, canning her harvests to help provide for her family. In later years, she embraced her love of travel and explored many countries around the world, always appreciating the diversity and wonder of creation.

She is survived by her four beloved children: Jane Kelly, Marsha Jaramillo and her husband Rafael, Rhonda Kelly, and Hal Kelly and his wife Dania. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Julie King, Paul King, Jennifer King, Kayla Roundtree, and Lauren Kelly—as well as two great-grandchildren. Harriet is also survived by her siblings Roy Allen Robertson, Hazel Dudding, and her step-sisters Debbie Combast and Connie Turner.

Harriet faced life’s challenges with a resilient spirit, always reminding others, “Trials are only temporary and this too shall pass.” Her comforting words and enduring strength will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 5:00 PM at 717 Fort Smith Blvd, Deltona, FL 32738. Friends and family who are unable to attend in person are welcome to join via Zoom: Meeting ID: 892 4809 9702 Password: 060725
