Helen Louise Flowers passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on June 3, 2026, in Orange City, Florida.

Born on December 4, 1940, in Jamestown, Kentucky, Helen was the daughter of Claude and Alta Bell and one of fourteen siblings. She carried with her throughout life the values of family, hard work, and compassion that were instilled in her from an early age.

Helen married Wallace Flowers, who preceded her in death. Together they made their home in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they welcomed two sons, Pete and John Flowers, both of whom also preceded her in death. Shortly after the birth of their second son, the family relocated to Pierson, Florida. There, Helen began a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, while Wallace established the family's fernery business.

Following her retirement, Helen moved to DeLand, Florida, where she spent the later years of her life enjoying family, friends, and the many interests that brought her joy.

Helen was an enthusiastic collector with a passion for nutcrackers, porcelain dolls, crystal, coins, and stamps, among many other treasures. She also loved to travel and was fortunate to explore numerous countries throughout her lifetime, creating cherished memories along the way.

Those who knew Helen will remember her as a kind, loving, and sincere woman whose generosity knew no bounds. She was often the first to offer a helping hand and was deeply appreciated for her caring nature and unwavering willingness to support others.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM held at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida. The family is hosting a reception at the Sanborne Center in DeLand, Florida from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM.

Helen's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
