Ida M. Blakeman, 82, of DeLand, FL passed away suddenly on June 6, 2022.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
After retiring from Toyota Tsusho in Georgetown, KY, Ida moved to DeLand in November 2004 where she had a 10-year career as an administrative assistant with Stetson University.
She remained in DeLand and enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, and visiting with friends at the Elusive Grape.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Marotte, brother, Dewey “Dean” Blakeman and sister-in-law, Elaine Blakeman along with many friends who loved spending time with her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to West Volusia Humane Society or The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia.
