Jimmie Wilda Brown

Jimmie "Wilda" Brown, Edwards passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living in DeLand, on September 2, 2024. 

Wilda was born on November 12, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. Her family relocated to Winter Haven Florida where she was raised with her brothers and sisters. She graduated highschool in Winter Haven in 1962. She was a devout Christian and member of Stetson Baptist Church. Wilda was a strong-willed Southern Baptist Democrat.

Wilda loved her family and was the host of any family function on a holiday. She was a Real estate Broker and finished her professional career at the Volusia County School Board as an administrative assistant. She pursued many passions in life such as stained glass, creating flower arrangements, collecting paperweights, and getting her motorcycle endorsement. 

Wilda was the last remaining sibling of her immediate family. She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Marion Graves, Mother Ottis Lee, brother William, Brother Whitten, sister Kay Hancock and sister Marion Clemons. She is survived in Death by her 3 children. Julie Marie Edwards, Crystal Michele Bond, and Mark Edwards grandchildren Cody Warren Edwards, Christian Anthony Giannazzo, Thomas Skyler Giannazzo, Ashton Storm Giannazzo, Emily Marie Phillips, Olivia Lynn Phillips, Kaycee Madison Edwards, and Bailey Alyssa Edwards.

A memorial hour will be held at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, FL. on September 10, 2024 at 10am. This will be an informal celebration of life that all are welcome to attend.
