John C. Woody

John C Woody age 81 of Deland, FL formerly of Caro, MI died October 7, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born September 12, 1944 in Toledo, OH. After high school John served in the United States Navy before receiving a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo. John worked a majority of his career at Walbro Corporation in Cass City, MI.
John was proud of his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them in the pool while challenging them to complete new tricks. He was always up for a game night of cards, monopoly or learning a new game from the kids. John was an avid reader, loved sudoku, CNBC, and Michigan State basketball and football.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Dawn (Parish), their children Ryan (Rachel), Lindsay (Lance), grandchildren Claire, Clark, Lillian, Lola, and siblings Linda Stokes and James Woody. He was proceeded in death by his parents Don & Wilma and sister Janet Howard.
In accordance with John's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
