With hearts full of love and gratitude, we remember Jorge Armando Parada, a devoted father, son, brother, and friend.
Born and raised in DeLand, Florida, Jorge carried a deep love for Jesus and a passion for sharing God’s word with others—a faith that guided him through every joy and challenge of his life.
Jorge took great pride in his work as a lineman, a career that reflected his commitment to service and strength of character. His work was not just a profession but a calling—an embodiment of his courage, dedication, and selflessness.
Outside of work, Jorge found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, sharing laughter with loved ones, and fishing. These simple, meaningful moments brought him lasting happiness and peace.
Those who knew Jorge will forever remember his generous spirit, contagious smile, and unwavering faith. He had a special gift for making others feel loved, supported, and seen. His light continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
While we grieve his loss, we rejoice in knowing that Jorge is now resting in the arms of his Savior. His spirit is free, his heart is at peace, and his faith has led him home.
He is survived by his beloved children, Logan Riggs Parada and Mary May-Lee Parada; his mother, Delfina Rodriguez; father, Rogelio Parada; and stepfather, Carlos Jose Reyes. He is also survived by his brother, Rogelio Jr. Parada (Kayla Smith); sisters, Marisela Alicea (Anthony Alicea), Valentina Parada (Michael Torres), Claudia Parada (Miguel Ramirez), and Mariana Parada (Emanuel Medina); along with many cherished nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loving church family at Pentecostals of DeLand.
Though Jorge’s time with us was far too short, his faith, laughter, and love will continue to guide all who knew him. Heaven gained a faithful soul, and we gained a guardian above.

Two verses that were close to his heart:
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert". Isaiah 43:18
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
