Judith Finigan

Judith Mae Smith Finigan, 80, of Delphi, passed away Thursday-October 29, 2026, at 10:40am, at Aster Place in Lafayette. 

Judy was born on February 12, 1946, in Anderson, IN, to the late William Smith and Wilma Jean Ryan Quarles. Her marriage was to Terry Robert Finigan in DeLand, FL, on May 21, 1999, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2017. 

She was raised in Seymour, IN, then moved to Florida for 26 years before moving back to Delphi, IN, the past 8 years to be closer to her sons. She graduated from Seymour High School. She worked for 21 years at Sherwood Industries in DeLand, FL, retiring from there in 2011. She also was a home health aide while living there. She was a member of the DeLeon Springs Christian Church in DeLeon, FL. While living in FL she volunteered at her stepchildren’s school, helping in their classroom. 

She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and collected anything Elvis. She enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, and dancing. Her greatest love was for her family and grandchildren. She dearly loved them all and enjoyed being together for any occasion. 

Surviving: son-David & Michele Francis of Lafayette, son-Ronald & Sherry Francis of Delphi, son-Ralph & Paula Meyer of Etna Green, son-David & Kelly Finigan of DeLand, FL, son-Zachary & Kristin Finigan of Satsuma, FL, daughter-in-law Nicole Finigan DeLand, FL, sister-Christina & Roger Wagoner of DeLand, FL, sister-Sandy Pferrer of DeLand, FL, 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren survive. 

Preceded in death by a son Ryan Finigan, daughter Gina Swan, inf son Scott Thompson. 

Services: Visitation will Saturday-November 7, 2026, from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at the Delphi Christian Church, Pastor Bob Duke officiating. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. www.abbottfuneralhome.com 

Services in DeLand, FL will take place on Saturday-November 14, 2026, visitation 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at the DeLeon Springs Christian Church, DeLeon Springs, FL, Pastor Roger Wagoner officiating. 

Burial at Oakdale Cemetery, DeLand, FL.
