Kathy Hooker passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and deep connection that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Kathy was born in Chicago and spent most of her life in Florida. She was a wonderful, kind-hearted woman who truly loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed. She was sociable and incredibly connected, always making time to chat on the phone, stay in touch, and nurture the relationships that mattered so much to her. Throughout her life, she maintained her grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and unwavering love for the people around her. Kathy expressed so much gratitude for her long life, filled with wonderful memories.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially being outdoors and enjoying nature. Watching deer, squirrels, birds, and other wildlife in her yard brought her peace and happiness. Her two cats Michael and Asia also brought her a lot of joy. Kathy was also known as an amazing cook who delighted in preparing delicious food to share with family and friends, making gatherings warm, welcoming, and memorable.

A savvy Realtor and brilliant entrepreneur, Kathy pursued many businesses and creative ideas throughout her life. Her drive, ingenuity, and passion reflected her vibrant spirit and determination.

Kathy is survived by her significant other, Michael, with whom she shared 36 loving years; her children, Paula and Kristina; her grandson, Christian; her niece, Linda; her grandnephews, Justin and Kevin; and her nephew, Donny. Kathy Hooker will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for her kindness, generosity, faith, and the love she so freely gave to all.
