Laura Deney Farrell

Laura Elizabeth Deney Farrell (née Bledsoe) was born on Saturday, March 7th, 1964 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Lawrence Graham Bledsoe Sr. and Beryl Marie Jackson. She was the only sister of Lawrence Graham Bledsoe Jr., Mark David Bledsoe, and Michael Robert Bledsoe. After graduating from high school, she went to cosmetology school and remained in the field her entire life. She married her first husband, Staff Sgt. Steven Konrad Deney, in July of 1987 and had two daughters with him. Unfortunately, she was widowed after 10 years of marriage. She married her second husband, Master Sgt. Michael Robert Farrell, in January of 1999 and had one daughter with him. 

She is survived by her three daughters: Ashley Michelle Deney, Charlotte Ann Deney, and Cassidy Jane Farrell. Her mother and three brothers also survive her. Laura was deeply passionate about her faith in Jesus Christ. She was involved in many church activities at the various church homes she had across the world throughout her life. Her life was full of adventures as a military spouse. She got to explore places abroad like England and Scotland. She also got to adventure across the United States with her three daughters. Besides being a world explorer, she enjoyed hobbies such as learning foreign languages, crocheting, gardening, and most recently, playing the piano. Everything she did, she did in glory to God. Whether it was supporting her husbands’ careers, homeschooling her children, or taking care of her aging mother, she served the Lord and that is her greatest accomplishment. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with triple-negative inflammatory breast cancer and fought it for nearly two years before she passed on Monday, November 10th, 2025. 

A memorial service will be held in her honor at First Baptist Daytona Beach on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in her name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.give.bcrf.org/LauraFarrell.
