Malcolm Leonard McCann

Malcolm Leonard “Mac” McCann, 73, of DeLand, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Advent Hospital DeLand.

Mac was born on June 30, 1952, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Eva and Charles McCann. He later moved to DeLand, where he attended DeLand High School. Over the years, Mac worked as a manager for Long John Silver’s, Burger King, and Subway, building lasting friendships and memories with his colleagues along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Charles McCann, and his beloved wife, Linda Mennig McCann. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ericca Cantlay (Ron); his granddaughters, Natalie and Caroline Cantlay; and his brother, Charles McCann.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church DeLand Family Life Center. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live on the First Baptist DeLand Facebook Page.

Mac will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
