Norwood Paul Kitchen, 86, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on October 27, 1939, in Van, West Virginia, Paul was the son of the late Millard and Dorothy Kitchen. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class from October 1, 1957, to September 30, 1963.

Paul spent most of his professional career in medical sales, working for Coulter Electronics in Hialeah, Florida. He was an avid sports fan who faithfully supported the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Kentucky Wildcats. Known as a karaoke king, Paul enjoyed singing at veterans' organizations and local establishments, with “Take Me Home, Country Roads” among his favorite songs. Friends and family will also remember one of his favorite sayings: “Well, I reckon.”

Paul is survived by his daughters, Dawn Evans (John) and Ashley Krouse (Scott), both of Apopka, Florida; his brother, Terry Kitchen (Marie) of Canton, Michigan; his sister, Eva Mae Chaffin (Chester) of Madison, West Virginia; his sister-in-law, Lucille of Tampa, Florida; and his two granddaughters, Katie Jones and Megan Jones (Ian) of Sanford, Florida. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory and mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earnest Kitchen of Tampa, Florida, Eskell Kitchen, and sister-in-law Edith of Brooksville, Florida.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul's life through music, stories, and shared memories on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Nice N Easy Oyster Bar & Grille, located at 2109 N. Volusia Avenue, Orange City, Florida 32763.
