Robert Clifton Langston passed away on December 8, 2025 at the age of 89 at his home. He is reunited with his wife Carolyne in Heaven. He was born on February 8, 1936 in Kinston, North Carolina to parent Guy C. and Joyce (nee Holland) Langston.

He attended and graduated high school in Greenville, North Carolina and then went on to attend East Carolina University. He was a member of the United States Airforce, 3270th, technical training squadron. He was also a member of Air America.

He married Carolyne Wallace on June 16, 1056 in Virginia.

He worked in Saudi Arabia and London for PepsiCo in the 70’s. He moved back to Farmville, North Carolina in 1980 to start Lang Air crop dusting.

He moved to Houston area in the late 1980’s to start with Evergreen Environmental. He moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2000 and retired to Durango, Colorado in 2012. In 2020, he moved back to DeLand, Florida to be closer to family.

Bob had a great love of the outdoors, ranging from camping, hiking, mountain climbing to scuba diving and snorkeling in the Virgin Islands, and riding the rapids through the Grand Canyon. He was 33rd degree mason from the New Bern, North Carolina lodge in New Bern, North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyne who passes away in April 2025 and his son Mark who passed away in 2023. He and Carolyne would have celebrated 69 years of marriage in June of 2025.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Lu Neetz and her husband Charlie, who provided for his care. His son, Bruce Langston and his wife Jana. He is also poppop to his granddaughter, Kara Neetz Robinson and her husband Steven, and their children Keegan and Brooklyn Charlie of Layton, Utah. Granddaughter Katee Neetz Kimball and her husband Peter and their children Grace and Ashford of Jacksonville Beach, FL.

He is also survived by his brother Michale Langston and his wife Phyllis of Greenville, North Carolina and their families. He is also survived by his grand dogs: Freddie, Max, and Rosie.

He is also survived by a host of friends in San Antonio, Texas and Durango, Colorado.
