Shelby Jean Lovette

Shelby Lovette, 81, passed away on December 16, 2021, in Deland, Florida.

Shelby was born on May 12, 1940, in Rockingham, North Carolina to the late Boyce and Jane Clark. She was the oldest of two children. Sister JoAnn Benson preceeded in death.

Shelby is survived by her husband, Fred Lovette; son Fred Lovette Jr. (Kellye) of Georgia, daughters Frances Adams (Jerry), Patsy Dorph (Bruce), and Debbie Newell (Paul) all from Florida; grandchildren Fred Lovette III, Lindsey Sneed (Jake), Lesley Swaim (Josh), Theresa Wallace (Cody), Stacey Adams, Jennifer Kennerson (Bruce), Ross Dorph, Katie Paquette, Kristen Paquette; and ten great-grandchildren.

Shelby enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing. She was proud to tell everyone she would catch the biggest fish and show off her green thumb with a beautiful garden.

A celebration of life for Shelby will be held on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Lankford Funeral Home, East New York Avenue in DeLand, Florida.
