In Loving Memory of Soo Ja Warrensford July 20, 1958 – July 30, 2025
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to weep and a time to laugh,a time to mourn and a time to dance.”– Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 4
With deep sorrow and eternal love, we announce the passing of Soo Ja Warrensford, who entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by the love of her family at HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Florida.
Soo was born on July 20, 1958, in Uijeongbu, South Korea. She spent her early years in South Korea before moving to Florida following her marriage to the love of her life, Edward Warrensford Jr. Together, they built a home centered on faith, family, and fierce love—a legacy that lives on in their children and grandchildren.
Soo was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal sister and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Warrensford Jr., and her children: Edward Warrensford III and his wife Amanda, Amanda Ellis and her husband Charles, and Penny Carver and her husband Timothy. Her grandchildren—Abigail Smith, Zoe Warrensford, Lia Warrensford, Jayden White, Ava Warrensford, Emmett Carver, Elias Carver, Cattleya Torres, and Memphis Carver—were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her siblings Sungjin Beak (Australia), Seoyoon Beak, Minchul Beak (South Korea), and Soonim Beak (Georgia); and her cherished in-laws Michelle and Steve Langrick, Denise Skinner, and Joseph Warrensford. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Michael Warrensford and her parents, In Hwa Lee, Esther Leola Warrensford, and Edward William Warrensford Sr.
Soo had a heart full of warmth and hands always ready to serve. She found joy in fishing, gardening, cooking, and, above all, spending time with her family and friends. Feeding others was her love language—whether it was a holiday meal or a spontaneous get-together, Soo delighted in bringing people together around a table full of good food and laughter. She loved adventure and travel, but her greatest journey was the one she walked in unwavering faith and devotion to her loved ones.
A faithful believer and passionate woman of God, Soo's life was a reflection of love in action. She gave freely, comforted generously, and stood protectively over the people she loved. Her presence was a blessing, and her absence is deeply felt.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both at City Sanctuary Church, 401 E Taylor Rd, Deland, FL.
We invite all family and friends to join us again in remembrance at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 9th at 1:00 PM at Hopkins Hall, 192 Connecticut Ave, Lake Helen, FL 32744, where we will share a meal and memories of a life lived with passion, purpose, and overflowing love.
Though Soo has departed this earth, her legacy continues in every life she touched. We will remember her in every laugh shared, every garden blooming, and every meal lovingly prepared.
She was our joy. She is now our angel.
