Stephen V. Coffman, 76, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at AdventHealth Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City, Florida.

Born on September 6, 1949, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Steve lived a remarkable life defined by service, leadership, dedication, and love for his family. Throughout his distinguished career and community involvement, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Steve proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked at the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. Following his military service, he built an exceptional career in finance and executive leadership. He served as Treasurer of US Sugar Inc. for 28 years, where his expertise and integrity made a lasting impact on the organization. He later served as General Manager of TKM Bengard for 10 years.

His commitment to service extended well beyond his professional career. Steve served for six years on the Glades General Hospital Board of Directors, was President of Everglades Federal Credit Union, and served as President of the Florida Chapter of the Tax Executives Institute. Continuing his dedication to the arts and community, he was also a member of the Athens Theatre Board in Deland, Florida.

While Steve's accomplishments were many, his greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband to Sandra Coffman, his beloved wife of 55 years. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was a proud father to Benjamin P. Coffman (Evelyn) and daughter Stacy M. Collins. His role as "Grandpa" brought him immeasurable happiness. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, Ellanor Coffman, age 11, June Collins, age 15, and Huck Collins, age 11, and took great pride in watching them grow and flourish.

Steve is also survived by his sister, Susan Jackson (Don), along with many extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives were enriched by his kindness and friendship.

Outside of work and family, Steve embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Florida Gators, reading, boating, driving his beloved Corvette, spending time with his grandchildren, and caring for his faithful dog, Heidi. His warm smile, quick wit, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A man of character, integrity, and compassion, Steve leaves behind a legacy of leadership, service, and love that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.

Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered in recognition of his service to our nation.
