Susan Lynne Giguere

October 27, 1960 — April 14, 2025

Lake Helen, Florida

Susan Lynne Baggott Giguere, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend, passed away on April 14, 2025, at Halifax Hospital in Deltona, Florida. Born on October 27, 1960, in Wauchula, Florida, Susan was a proud 9th-generation Floridian whose life was marked by compassion, dedication, and deep love for her family.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Baggott and Barbara Baggott and sister to Michael Baggott. Susan held a B.S. in Psychology. She earned her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 1989 and later obtained her RN diploma from Indian River State College. Her career as a psychiatric nurse was distinguished by the calm expertise she brought to every patient interaction, offering comfort and stability to those in need.

Susan’s professional life also included nationwide work guiding hospitals through electronic health record conversions—training staff and resolving issues with patience and care. Earlier in her journey, she taught physical education, kindergarten, and third grade, always gravitating toward roles that centered around care and teaching.

Susan found joy in the simple pleasures of life—sun-soaked days at New Smyrna Beach, road trips in the RV with her beloved husband Michael, and the comforting sounds of country music. She was a passionate reader of crime fiction and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, embracing her role as “Granny” to Nova, Kallie, and five step-grandchildren with unmatched love. Her feline companions, Chelsea and Stormy, were never far from her side.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Giguere; her children, Matt Russ (partner Faith Wright) and Rebekkah Russ; her grandchildren, Nova and Kallie; and her step-grandchildren, Andrew, Emilia, Isabella, Kennedy, and Karmendi. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Jessy Moyer (husband Joe) and Jonathan Giguere (wife Blaire); her mother, Barbara Baggott; and her brother, Michael Baggott (wife Sharon). She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Baggott, Jr. and son Ryan.

Susan's presence was described best by those who knew her: “Susan had a calm strength that made everyone feel safe—a steady anchor, full of love, joy, and good advice.”
