Virginia May Otto

Virginia M Otto, 98, passed away November 28, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living in DeLand. Born September 18, 1927 in Detroit, MI, Virginia graduated from Adelphian Academy, Holly, MI, class of 1945. Fred Otto and Virginia May were married in 1948 and were together for 72 years. The major part of her working years was as the Director of the Little Lamb Day Nursery at the Ann Arbor Seventh-day Adventist Church. Both Fred and Virginia were very active in the three churches they were members of, including Port Charlotte and Deltona SDA churches in Florida. Virginia and Fred retired in 1986 and moved from Michigan to Port Charlotte, FL. In 2003 they moved to DeLand to be closer to 2 of their 3 sons.                                                        

Virginia is survived by sons, Greg (Chris) Otto, Steve (Joyce) Otto, Mark (Sandra) Otto, grandchildren, Amber (Kyle) DeVries, Jared (Elaine) Otto, Jacob Otto, great-grandchildren, Nolan, Elliott & Kate DeVries, and Caleb & Levi Otto.

A Life Celebration will be held for family and friends at the home of Steve and Joyce Otto at a future date in early 2026.
