Walter Brett Floyd

Walter Brett Floyd, 49, of Daytona Beach went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2025. Brett was born in Charlotte, NC on April 28, 1975.

 The beloved son of Trish Cobble Richardson and David Richardson, Brett was raised in both the Carolinas before relocating to Florida to be closer to his parents. Brett was known for his humor, quick wit, and kindness to others. 

Brett has many friends and all will share, they were thankful he was a part of their lives. Brett was always there for anyone who needed him and he will be most remembered for his loyalty and friendship.

Brett worked different jobs through the years but most notably, he was a fabulous chef. He enjoyed cooking and took pleasure when his family enjoyed his culinary creations.

Brett enjoyed walking and taking in nature and often spoke of times spent in the mountains of North Carolina.

Brett's last act on this earth was protecting his friends. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends". John 15:13

Brett is survived by his parents, Trish and David, his older brothers Frank and Brian, and his children. 

A private family service is being planned at this time.
