Angel Luis Felix, born on December 28, 1960, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital/Hospice in Orange City. Angel was a hard-working man recently retired, having dedicated over 30 years of his life as a metal spinner. He was known for his strong work ethic and love for his family, always ensuring they never faced any struggles.
In his younger days, Angel enjoyed playing softball with his family and was once a member of a bowling league with friends and family. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, never missing a chance to watch his favorite sports teams play. He also cherished moments playing dominos and cornhole bag toss during BBQ gatherings with loved ones, accompanied by great salsa music or tunes from the '70s, his favorite genres.
Angel was preceded in death by his parents, Angel Luis Felix, Sr. (2013), and Maria Alicea (2020). He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 10 years, Julie A. Felix (Rodriguez), and his bonus daughters Victoria and Mariciana Ruiz, along with his bonus granddaughter Isabella (Izzy) Felix.
His children include son, Angel Luis Felix, Jr. (Ely Hernandez) and their children Angel Luis IV, Giovanni, Angely, Jaylani, and great-grandson Angel Luis Felix V. Son, Nicholas Felix (Lizeth) and their children Nicole, Nicholas, Analezli, Elijah, bonus grandchildren Andre and Lisandra Munoz, and great-grandchildren Kamila and Jensen. Daughter, Heather Felix and grandson Brayden. Son, Jason Felix, bonus daughter Christine (Telby) Goris, bonus grandchildren Christopher, Briana, and Angelea.
He is also survived by siblings Vilma (Frank) Arce, Iris (Charlie) Arce, Milly (Saul) Barbosa, Wilfredo Felix, Hector Felix, Lisa Felix, and Sory (Frank) Demerest, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Angel's life was celebrated on April 6, 2024, with close family and friends with a balloon release and shared memories. His Chicago-area family gathered to honor his life on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Downers Grove, IL. Angel's impact on everyone he met will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished forever.
