Oh Mr. Bill and family,

What a sad loss for us all and especially for each of you. Barbara....what a powerhouse! She gave so much to so many during our days at Rawlings. She was a brilliant educational innovator with many of her projects going district-wide. As a mentor/coach her strong determination willed many of us technology-shy staff members into the computer age. She made the computer our friend. Some of my fondest memories of Barbara are centered around spending time in her office after hours. I’d grab a piece of Werther’s butterscotch candy from the jar on her desk and we’d talk about the important events of the day/week. These chats often ended with a good chuckle betwe…

The world is a better place because Barbara was part of it. We will remember her always and we are so privileged to call her friend. She carried something unique and special of who we were at Rawlings Elementary and she left her mark on that time and place in the lives of all of us who knew and loved her. God Bless you Bill and your family.

To Bill and family,

I am so saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. She was a superb educator and wonderful friend. I feel so privileged to have known and worked with her.

Barbara cared about children first and, of course, all of the Rawlings' staff. She had a great sense of humor and work ethic like no other.

I hope your many beautiful memories of Barbara will help sustain you. She was a terrific person in every way. She will be remembered with love. Lyn McKay

To Bill and Barbara's family-

I was so saddened to hear of Barbara's death. I knew Barbara in the years we worked together at M.K. Rawlings Elementary. If I ever needed a curriculum question answered, I knew who to go to: Barbara. She ran a tight ship, and she knew her stuff.

Barbara was a lifelong learner. She was always reading, always researching, yet she had a quick wit and she and Bill both had a great sense of humor.

I know Bill will be lost without Barbara. I feel especially sad for him. What a great partnership. My condolences go to you, Bill, and to your family. May God Bless all of you.
