Bobby Randolph "Randy" Tillman Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Jacksonville at the Mayo Clinic at 3 am Friday, November 17, 2023. Randy was born on November 24, 1962, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.


Randy worked for Nabisco / Mondelez International for 40 years, earning multiple awards and sales contests. Randy studied Business Administration at Florida State University and completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Central Florida in 1986. He earned his high school diploma from Chamberlain High School in 1980 in Tampa, Florida.


Randy was a lifelong athlete. He loved all sports, especially golf, football, baseball, and cycling. He completed two Iron Man competitions and many triathlons. He was an avid golfer and regularly participated in many golf tournaments to support a variety of charities.

Randy and his youngest daughter helped achieve the Guinness World record for the longest human chain underwater in 2018. Randy's hobbies include kayaking and golfing with friends, going to concerts, and working out.


Randy is survived by both parents, Bobby and Loretta Tillman of DeLand; his sister, Lori, and her husband, Paul Garcia of DeLand; his daughters, Emily Paige Tillman and Sarah Elaine Tillman of Jacksonville; his niece Kayla and her husband, Evan Strouse of Gainesville, Florida, his nephew Matthew and his wife Kayla Garcia of DeLand, Florida, and one granddaughter Sloane age one year.


Randy loved spending time with family. He loved the movie "Elf," which we watched as a family every year on Christmas Day. He would not accept the word "no" from his friends when starting a workout program. Randy was a faithful friend to many. Randy embodied and empowered others to "Live A Great Story."


A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday November 24th, 2023 at Oakdale Cemetery in DeLand, FL.


Randy's Celebration of Life service will start at Oakdale Cemetery and continue with a reception at the Harwood Center - St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and School located at 322 W. Michigan Avenue, DeLand (the parking lot is located on North Clara Avenue).
