Charles Levy James, 98, passed away on May 17, 2022. Born in Live Oak, Florida, one of 9 children, 2 boys and 7 girls. One sister, Emily of Georgia remains. Life was hard working but full of love, fun and always opportunities for adventures and misadventures.
Charles was a WW II veteran, serving from 1942 until 1945 in the U.S. Army/Air Force. He later worked in accounting for American companies, living and working in Viet Nam, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Charles is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kyoko Hiraishi, daughters Barbara Stephens, Laura Skillas, Jennifer (Bill) Stone and Celia (Joey) Costa. Grandchildren Jimmy and Charley Stephens, Brooke Whitaker, Layne Ray, Zeph Costa and Leigh Ashton. Great grandchildren, Mya Cloud, Hannah and Kyle Whitaker, Jaden and Madison Taylor, Lulu, Tildie and Fawn Costa.
