Dr. Terrell Wayne “T. Wayne” Bailey

Dr. Terrell Wayne “T. Wayne” Bailey, DeLand, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, at Specialty Select Hospital in Daytona Beach surrounded by his children. He was 86 years old.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances, parents Theodore R. and Bessie Bailey, and sister Callie Leonard. He is survived by children James Patrick (Cheri) Bailey, Lakeland, FL, Sherill Diane (Dain) Akin, DeLand, FL, Kimberly Anne (Donnie) Miller, Panama City, FL and Terrell Wayne (Romy) Bailey, Jr., Sellersburg, Indiana; grandchildren Theodore and Jesse Bailey, Elizabeth Lynn and Todd Alexander Akin, Christopher Roberts, Teresa Moore, Dakota Roberts, and Rosalee Miller, and Addie Rose Bailey; sisters Jeannette Booth, Milton, Florida, and Betty (Charles) Williams, Lutz, Florida, nieces and nephews David (Denise) Leonard, Susan DeForest, Steve (Lisa) Booth, Sandy (Terry) Wilson, and Jennifer Williams, his partner Elizabeth Magarian, and many close friends and confidants.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021, at Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand. A private entombment service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Panama City, Florida. A memorial service honoring Dr. Bailey’s life and contributions will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at First Baptist Church of DeLand at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following, Dr. Robert C. Mulkey presiding.
