Frankie Mae Stone

John 14:1-3

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Frankie Mae Stone, age 72 years, two months, and four days, was called home to Jesus on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Born on December 20, 1949, in Pensacola, Florida as Frankie Mae Coleman. Frankie Mae was actually named Franka Mae on her original birth certificate as the result of a strong southern accent by her mother. She grew up as part of a large family living in California, Alabama and several locations in Florida. The Coleman family finally settled in the West Volusia area in the early 1950's. In the years that followed, Frankie Mae met and married James D Stone Jr (Jim) in 1969 and started a family, having their first son Richard in 1970 followed by James (Jerry) in 1972. She raised with loving care and a firm foundation of faith her two sons while working several jobs in the Deland area. Frankie was blessed with a third son Chester in 1985. During the time she raised Chester she was a hard-working tough as nails mom who loved her children dearly. She was most fond of her most recent job as a school bus driver for Lake County schools. She officially retired from driving bus in 2003 Frankie Mae's faith in Jesus and her love for her family were of utmost importance to her, and although her family misses her dearly, they are comforted by the knowledge that she is currently with the Lord.
