Healing, Hope, Humility JANUARY 2022

MARCH NEWSLETTER

BY CHERYL LANKFORD

NEWS PROVIDED BY: Lankford Funeral Home, January 1st, 2022

Greetings Family and Friends,

As we look to this new year, may we all welcome a renewed energy.

An Energy of healing, hope, and humility.

We have all faced areas of our lives where pain has taken a toll on us, and learning to heal from those moments is important so that we can move forward in peace and understanding.

Hope, because we must have hope. Without a desire for things to improve - hope is lost, and we must encourage ourselves and others to look toward what is possible.

And of course humility - without it, we are simply lost.

When we humble ourselves, we are able to meet people where they are at. This is key to understanding where they are and what we can do to serve them.

This month, I would like you to think about the people you may have lost and the loved ones that surround you today.

Are you hurting? If so, reach out to a friend and share what you are going through. If you know someone in pain that needs help healing, share your story and help them find the help they truly need.

In regards to hope - look to nature. Go stand outside or look through your window up at the sky and its infinite wonder. There is hope out there - in fact, it's all around you, you just have to be open to seeing it.

And finally, humility.

Let us all humble ourselves and realize that everyone goes through loss, pain, and loneliness. Reach out to someone you know that needs a friend to say hello this month. It will improve their mental health tremendously to know that someone cares.

You, my friend, please know you are never alone, we are here for you 24/7. Call us anytime, we have many services and outreach programs that can help. With that said, remember...

It is a new year - let us rejoice and be proactive for what we want it to be.

I leave you will some quotes of encouragement.

- Tori Amos
