Jeffrey William Lary

10/2/2023

Jeffrey William Lary, a beloved husband and brother passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 75 in Orange City, Florida with his wife by his side. He was born on November 5, 1947, in New York City, New York.

Jeff had a fulfilling career as a Bio Physics Chemist Computer Programmer Facilities Scientist, specializing in centrifuge research. His dedication and expertise in his field left a lasting impact on those he worked with.

Jeff's retirement allowed him to fully embrace his deep appreciation for the outdoors & other activities that he shared with his beloved wife, Kim. He reveled in the serenity of nature whether it be fishing, sailing, scuba diving, bicycling (both virtual and in real life) or packing a motorcycle picnic to explore the trails and wineries in Connecticut. Their mutual interest in volleyball, racquetball, tennis & pickleball further strengthened their bond and provided countless memorable moments. Some of the happiest times in Jeff's life were spent creating wonderful meals for friends.

Together, they also found joy & passion in the art of creating stained glass master pieces that are currently in homes & business in North American & Europe and raising thousands for various charities, a shared passion that brought them closer. His affinity for animals, particularly cats, showcased his caring and gentle nature.

While Jeff may have been a man of few words, his dry wit and subtle sense of humor added a unique charm to his personality. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeffrey William Lary is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kimberly S. Lary, and his brother, John Edward "Ed" Lary, along with Ed's wife, Wendy Sue Lary. Jeff's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, as they remember the remarkable man who made their lives richer through his presence and shared passions.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of animals, a cause dear to Jeff's heart or to Halifax Hospice.
