Frances White Dorough, age 96, longtime resident of Port St. Lucie departed life Aug 28th , 2022, at a facility in Putnam County, FL

Frances was born Nov 2nd , 1925 in Tampa, FL. The daughter of the late James Thomas White and Mattie Lou Davis. A 1943 graduate of Plant High School in Tampa, she soon married Ivey A. Dorough of Lake Wales, FL. She is survived by her two children, Thomas and Linda Dorough, two granddaughters, Bonnie Wilder, and Anna K. Selph, two great grandsons, and one great great grandson.

She was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. A successful business entrepreneur, she delved in real estate, a palm nursery, and a cattle business. In 1958 she earned her pilot’s license and logged several thousand hours with the Civil Air Patrol flying search and rescue missions.
