Joseph Luczycki of Daytona Beach Shores, died on the morning of June 16, 2022, at the age of 90. Joseph was born to Mary and Joseph Luczycki in 1931, in Great Bend, NY. He served as an Army Corporal in the 187th Airborne during the Korean War. In 1966, he married Mona and together raised her two children from a previous marriage, Daniel and Catherine. He retired from Johnson Controls after a long career in New York, California, and Oregon.
Growing up on a farm in Great Bend provided Joe with lots of opportunities to spend time outdoors which included a love for animals. He and Mona traveled extensively throughout the world and in the U.S. An avid reader, he read the Wall Street Journal everyday and loved history. His quiet humility made him an excellent listener. Joseph was known for his kindness and generosity toward others. His smile and sense of humor drew people to him, and his positivity was a great example to all who had the good fortune to know him.
Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Mona, father, Joseph, mother, Mary, sister, Josephine Guca, and brothers Edward, Francis, and John. He is survived by stepchildren Daniel and Catherine, sister Ann Boyanski, and brother Stanley.
